Season 01 - JUNGLE
Born and raised in Tokyo, I grew up between quiet natural landscapes and the concrete jungle of a multicultural urban environment. Through Japanese pop culture, I came to recognise Animism as a longstanding Japanese worldview, rooted in an understanding of nature as an active presence in everyday life. This collection brings together animistic references, my father's wardrobe and its connection to black culture, and military garments. Reworking military wear through contemporary silhouettes, materials, and function, I connect it to the landscapes and beliefs of my homeland. Garments born from war are transformed into a contemporary uniform shaped by peace, nature, and everyday life.
